Meriwether Morris is 17 and attends Guildford Park Secondary. Meriwether represented her school within the Emily Carr Head Start program where she created an exceptional university level portfolio. As result of her skill, Meriwether’s work has been showcased within the Surrey Art Gallery’s juried Purposeful Play exhibit and the Canadian 150 art show. Also able to synthesize her talents in art, creative writing, and storytelling, Meriwether’s short graphic comic “Black Dog” won 1st place within the Surrey Public Library’s writing contest. The poetry she crafts and the stories she weaves demonstrate a profound sensitivity to the human condition and a willingness to take risks.

Meriwether chose the Surrey Public Library as his designated Charity.
