Sassy Awards 2011-2017 from Allan Baedak on Vimeo.

The SASSY Awards – Service Above Self Surrey Youth – is Rotary’s way to celebrate and honour fantastic youth in Surrey and White Rock.  By recognizing exceptional youth, we are investing in future community leaders.
The 11th annual SASSY event will take place virtually on May 5, 2021. Tickets are free, but do require advance registration.  There are also only 500 tickets available in our virtual auditorium, so register early!   The tickets will be available the week of January 4th.
SASSY recipients in six categories will receive a $1,000 award along with the opportunity to donate $500 to a registered Canadian charity of their choice.
I am reaching out to you as Chair of our ‘Friends of SASSY’ sponsorship campaign. This year, due to COVID we won’t be sponsoring tickets for nominees to attend the show, but we will be subsidizing awards that sponsors were not able to cover this year.
‘Friends of SASSY’ helps ensure the sustainability of the SASSY program.
Please note that SASSY is not a fundraising event – it is an awareness raiser and a way of engaging our diverse community – from youth who live work and learn in Surrey and White Rock while serving and volunteering countless hours – to charities that provide important community services for our friends, neighbours and loved ones.
Every penny donated to Friends of SASSY goes into the show and towards youth programs that continue to nurture young people and the concept of service above self, which is the backbone of what Rotary stands for.

Please help us celebrate fantastic youth in our community by contributing to the ‘Friend of SASSY’ fund with our secure online donation link.
